Today, The Knot, a leading U.S. wedding technology platform and marketplace, released The Knot 2027 Wedding Trends Report, revealing the 20 trends set to define weddings in the year ahead. Built on real-time search, save, and spend data from 1.7 million U.S. couples and validated by The Knot’s Trends Vendor Council, the annual report provides insight into the wedding planning experience of millions of engaged couples – unveiling how quickly inspiration turns into action.

Top findings from the The Knot 2027 Wedding Trends Report show that searches for coastal Italian ‘Beach Club’ weddings are up 315% year-over-year, with Italian-themed suites increasing by 167%. Heritage romance is having a moment too, with antique lace and Victorian revival details up 280% and fine art references – think Monet, Klimt and stained glass – climbing 195%. On the personalization front, custom wedding crests and monograms are up 100%, interactive food and beverage are up 66%, and silver flatware, platinum jewelry, and cool-toned décor have surged 133%, signaling gold’s reign is over.

“Today’s couples aren’t simply looking for inspiration; they’re looking for ways to make their vision a reality,” said Esther Lee, Editorial Director, The Knot. “These trends give couples a creative roadmap into what’s possible for their big day, while also allowing plenty of room for personalization and storytelling, resulting in a truly modern wedding that feels like their own.”

For wedding professionals, The Knot 2027 Wedding Trends Report is market intelligence: a preview of what engaged couples will be asking for in 2027. Wedding vendors can now prepare for the requests headed their way, whether that’s pricing monofloral installations, building a roaming aperitivo service, or adding silver to their rental inventory. This early read on where demand is headed will help small businesses tailor their offerings, refresh their portfolios, and position themselves as experts before they’re even asked.

To make it even easier for engaged couples to take action on these trends, The Knot also launched today a shoppable 2027 Wedding Trends collection. Curated registry collections are live for nine of this year’s trends, from The Beach Club and Silver (Ag)e to Analog, featuring beloved registry brands like Kodak, Mackenzie Childs, and Jonathan Adler, alongside brands new to The Knot Registry such as Cuyana, Cotopaxi, and Abbode. Exclusive The Knot 2027 Trends stationery designs complete the collection, spanning save-the-dates through thank you cards from experiential styles to Antique Lace and Fine-Arts inspired suites.

Key Findings from The Knot 2027 Wedding Trends Report:

  • Couples as Creative Directors: The days of choosing a simple color palette are over – today’s couples are art-directing their weddings with attention to detail – from the coastal Italian beach club aesthetic leading the year’s search surges to galleries and stages.

    • Heritage romance is also making a major return, with searches in this category up 280% year-over-year, including terms like antique lace and Victorian revival details.

    • Fine art inspiration is taking over mood boards, with related searches – including terms such as Monet water lilies, Gustav Klimt, and stained glass aesthetics – rising 195% year-over-year, while searches in balletcore and Swan Lake styling categories climbed by 106%.

    • Tying it together is the rise of the “wedding brand,” with searches for custom crests, monograms, and weekend-long storytelling up 100% year-over-year.

  • Extending the Wedding: In the age of hyper-personalization, couples are making the most of every wedding moment – treating the courthouse ceremony, the welcome dinner and the day-after brunch as distinct occasions – each with its own fashion, photography, and design.

    • With nearly 1 in 3 weddings already spanning three days or more, the opportunity to maximize each moment is built in.

    • Couples are also hosting these moments in unconventional venues such as beach clubs, members clubs, townhomes, spas, and sports arenas, styled with residential design details, from dining table lamps and coffee table guestbooks to tasseled linens, to make any space feel like a beautifully lived-in home.

  • Hospitality at its Highest: The traditional buffet and sit-down dinner are giving way to experiences that guests want to get up for: searches for interactive food and beverage are up 66% year-over-year, spanning roaming apéritif options, such as caviar service and martini sidecars, burrata bars, and late-night comfort food.

    • Food is personal too – 60% of couples say incorporating their ethnicity, religion, or culture into the wedding is important, bringing the dishes they grew up with to the table.

    • The experience even extends onto paper, with searches for experiential stationery like ceremony program fans and pop-up menus climbing 77% year-over-year.

  • The Silver (Ag)e: After years of gold dominating everything from fashion to home, silver is having its moment.

    • Searches for silver flatware, platinum jewelry, and cool-toned decor rose 133% year-over-year, with the sterling shift showing up across accessories, stationery, dinnerware and tablescapes.

    • Driven by a combination of rising global gold prices, and a heavy wave of ’90s and Y2K nostalgia, this icy hue has transitioned from a basic neutral into a bold, high-fashion statement.

  • Analog Registries: What’s old is new again on the registry, too: couples are requesting old-school cocktail glasses, throwback camcorders, and vintage-style record players with modern capabilities, alongside upgraded home items they see themselves using for years to come.

    • Flexible gifting still matters – 72% of couples register for some form of cash, with honeymoon funds the most common choice – and the cash fund continues to give guests an easy way to contribute directly to what matters most to the couple.

  • Elevating the Vendor Relationship: As celebrations grow more complex, vendors are evolving from teams couples rely on for a few hours into multi-day partners.

    • Couples work with an average of 13 local wedding professionals, and the multi-moment wedding is expanding what they’re hired to do – from DJs who can score a welcome party and morning-after brunch to photographers who follow a couple from the engagement shoot through the wedding weekend.
