DALLAS, TX, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Solaris Endovascular, Inc., a growth-stage medical technology company advancing next-generation covered stent technologies, today announced the appointment of Eizo Nishimura as General Manager, Japan, and Zaragoza “ZB” Briseño Jr. as Head of Manufacturing. The appointments strengthen the company’s leadership team as Solaris expands its global presence and advances its covered stent portfolio.

“We are excited to welcome Eizo and ZB to Solaris at such an important time for the company,” said Randy Hubbell, President and Chief Executive Officer of Solaris Endovascular. “Eizo’s tremendous experience building medical device businesses in Japan, combined with ZB’s deep expertise in manufacturing, technology transfer and operational scale-up, will be invaluable as we continue to expand globally and advance our covered stent portfolio.”

Mr. Nishimura brings more than 40 years of medical device leadership experience in Japan. During his career with Johnson & Johnson, he led the regulatory approval, reimbursement and commercial launch of CYPHER®, the first drug-eluting coronary stent in Japan, ultimately building the business to more than $550 million in annual sales. He subsequently served as President and Representative Director of Biosensors Japan and later Abiomed Japan, where he led the introduction of Impella®, secured reimbursement and built the Japanese business to more than $75 million in annual revenue.

Mr. Briseño brings more than 26 years of medical device manufacturing, operations, process development and scale-up experience. His background includes senior operations leadership at TriSalus Life Sciences as well as extensive experience with Cordis/J&J supporting the CYPHER sirolimus-eluting stent, including drug-coating process development, process validation, manufacturing scale-up and global technology transfer.

The appointments come as the company continues to commercialize Solaris SX globally while advancing the clinical development of Solaris DE, an investigational sirolimus-eluting covered stent built on the established SX platform and designed to deliver drug at the uncovered stent edges to address edge restenosis. Recently presented complete six-month DEScover results demonstrated 92.7% Target Lesion Primary Patency (TLPP) with Solaris DE in failing dialysis access circuits, underscoring the potential of this differentiated approach.
