Portable Restroom Trailers sent a team to the Satellite Women’s Conference (SWC) in Charlotte, North Carolina, at the beginning of the month. It was the first time the woman-owned company joined the event, which centers on professional development, networking, and community for women in portable sanitation.
SWC has grown into a connected community that stretches across the portable sanitation industry and beyond. Its members range from small and medium-sized businesses to large corporate organizations. The ninth annual gathering aimed to welcome about 200 women from a broad audience.¹
Owners, managers, field technicians, and office staff all gathered to connect at the conference. The mix ranged from seasoned veterans to newcomers who had just received their business licenses and were eager to get started. That range gave Portable Restroom Trailers a wide pool of perspectives to learn from.
“The room was full of women who run companies like ours, and it reminded us how much we have in common,” said Teri Pahon, CEO of Portable Restroom Trailers. “It meant a great deal to compare notes, swap stories, and learn from women who understand this work firsthand. We came home with new ideas and new friends.”
Portable Restroom Trailers has served customers since 2007 by supplying a large variety of trailers, including restroom and shower trailers as well as laundry and ADA-compliant units. The woman-owned company produces its units in the USA and include amenities that range from luxury features to Smarter Restrooms App technology.
The company also backs most purchases with a Buy Back Policy. Its in-house team designs custom trailers for unique field and agency needs. The company has sent restroom trailers to disaster relief sites, stadiums, campgrounds, state fairs, and more.
For Portable Restroom Trailers, the Charlotte conference brought new friendships, fresh ideas, and a closer bond with the women who shape the industry. The company intends to bring that spirit of connection into its work with customers across the country.
