Moran, Allen & Associates secures second major result in two years built on forensic and recorded evidence

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo., Oct. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — Mr. Bryan Williams, who has no prior criminal history and has served his country for 16 years, cleared his name after our defense team presented video and audio recordings from the date, time, and location of the alleged offense. The recordings showed that the alleged crime could not have occurred as described. The jury also heard that no physical evidence had been collected and that the second accusation rested on a single witness statement, which the witness recanted at trial.

“Bryan Williams is an upstanding member of our community, has no previous criminal history, and has served our country for 16 years. This was not the first time we litigated these allegations. Twice in the domestic-relations case, these same allegations were brought against Mr. Williams – and each of those times they were defeated,” said Michael T. Allen, who led the defense team in Mr. Williams’ case and referred to his ongoing family law matter.

Allen, who has no relation to the elected District Attorney, continued, “The results of those hearings, as well as audio and video evidence, were provided to the DA’s Office in June of 2026. The jury certainly did justice by finding our client not guilty on both charges, but justice could have been done long before we ever got to trial. We provided exculpatory evidence, including minute orders from the family case, in which a judge already dismissed these allegations after a contested hearing. These allegations should have never made it all the way to a criminal jury trial.”

Evidence-driven defense, again

The Williams verdict follows another similar successful defense result for the firm. In December 2024, Moran, Allen & Associates defended Lisa Chase against felony stalking and harassment charges based on hundreds of allegedly threatening text messages. The defense team retained a digital forensics expert who established that Ms. Chase never sent the messages, and the case was dismissed shortly before proceeding to trial.

“In both cases, our clients were facing serious accusations, and in both cases the evidence told a different story,” Allen said. “We made further investigation and presented it to the decision makers – that is, the DA’s Office. Despite that evidence being exculpatory, we had to keep moving forward and ultimately, in the Williams case, we presented that evidence to a jury of El Paso County citizens, who took the matter very seriously and found Mr. Williams not guilty on all counts.”

The firm credits its success to thorough investigation, early engagement with technical and forensic experts, and a commitment to preparing every case as though it will be tried.

“I’m grateful to Bryan for trusting us, to the jurors for their careful attention, and to everyone on our team who put in the hours,” Allen added. “We will keep fighting just as hard for every client who comes through our door.”
